It tastes just like ... potato
Ra's Life
After another splendid Indian meal for dinner last night ($30) I went to lunch with my CAPMER colleague well off the path where expats eat. The Corneza restaurant has a lunchtime buffet. Edourad spotted several friends, a couple of them police officers as we entered the furthest back eating room. We joined a stranger at a table for 3 with out plates piled high with friend cassava, sweet potato, some other potato, green beans, peas, some creamed spinachy type stuff, mystery meat (NOT gorilla),some bread made from maize, rice, etc.
Edouard weighs about 60 % of what I do and had a plate pile twice as high. Twice is NOT an exaggeration.
The cassava was tasty as was the fried unripe banana and the potatoes .. with my eyes closed I am not sure I could have told them apart. The "pimento" on the table added some fire to the meat (pimento is pepper in French.
